Govt does not care enough about sanitation

There has been no improvement in sanitation coverage in the country for three years because neither the government nor the public has given priority to issues of sanitation in the country, the Chief of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) at UNICEF, Mr David Duncan, has stated.

Members of the Science and Technical Council (STC) of the African Water Association (AfWA), have been urged to see beyond policies and laws governing the provision of water and sanitation services, to more innovative ways of ensuring access.
